Sharp Aquos Quattron 830 review: Sharp Aquos Quattron 830

Sharp Aquos Quattron 830

The ; has a picture with relatively accurate color in bright areas, good video processing, and the ability to handle bright rooms well. Its feature set offers excellent help and support options, built-in Wi-Fi, and a remote with three programmable keys...

Reproduces lighter black levels; poor screen uniformity; dark areas tinged blue; separate interfaces for apps and widgets can be confusing; somewhat generic styling.

Although it's blessed with a solid feature set, the picture quality of Sharp LC-LE830U series falls short of most LED-based LCD TVs we've tested.

Sharp Aquos LC-60LE835U

At $2,800, Sharp's 60-inch LC-60LE835U LED HDTV isn't cheap, but between its green power-saving mode, its wide color range, and strong 2D- and 3D-picture performance, it's a solid choice for a large-screen 3D HDTV.

Slick design. Wide color gamut. Solid 3D experience. Energy efficient.

Clunky menu system. Wobbly stand. Relatively small selection of Web apps.

Fortunately, the Sharp's Web-based apps are accessible through a different menu, activated through the Apps button rather than the Menu button. The Apps menu is a much more conventional interface, organized in a simple pop-up row along the bottom edge...

Sharp LC-60LE835U 60? LED LCD 3D HDTV

Along with competitively priced gargantuan panels the other thing Sharp is generating buzz for is their Quattron technology, which is the inclusion of a fourth yellow sub pixel in the pixel matrix. Sharp says adding this yellow sub pixel not only...

With a very thin attractive panel, solid 3D performance, excellent brightness capabilities, and very good Energy Star ratings, the LC-60LE835U is a very good, large LED LCD television that should bring hours and hours of entertainment. While the color...

Sharp LC-60LE831U 60-inch Class LED LCD HDTV Reviewed

Sharp keeps releasing bigger and bigger televisions, including the 60-inch Sharp LC-60LE831U LED LCD HDTV. Big performance should accompany a big screen, right? Well, not exactly....

The LC-60 is one of the more affordable 60-inch LED HDTVs you can currently buy ; The LC-60 performance is surprisingly good, possessing rich, naturalcolors with solid black levels coupled with near uniform backlighting-something few edge lit LED...

The LC-60's build quality isn't exactly class leading and no doubt areason for its roughly $2,000 asking price. Thankfully, the LC-60'sbuild quality isn't reflected in its performance, which is otherwisevery good ; The LC-60 is not 3D compatible, which...

For a little over $2,000 retail, Sharp's 60-inch LED HDTV, the LC-60,is worthy of your consideration. While it doesn't necessarily "win" anyparticular category in terms of its performance, it's far from theworst. While it's clear to see where Sharp may...

Sharp LC40LE835X 3D LED TV

Sharp's latest LED TV is more than a match for Sony and Samsung

Good all-round image quality ; Good speakers

Light on extra features

If you're not seduced by the appeal of video-on-demand apps or renting movies on your TV, you should consider Sharp's LE835X TV alongside contenders like the Sony HX820, Samsung Series 7 and LG LW6500. It's got good (if not perfect) picture quality,...

Sharp LC-46LE831E

After mostly impressing us with its 3D debut a few months back, the 60in 60LE925E, Sharp has finally followed it up with the more manageable - and vastly more affordable - 46in 46LE831E.

Startlingly good 3D pictures ; Very good 2D pictures too ; Good value

Slightly clumsy OS ; Online features off the pace ; Yellows occasionally look slightly over-aggressive

Sharp has struggled recently to make a big impact on the UK TV scene, but the 46LE831E really deserves to change this. It’s a bit clumsy in places, and its online features need expanding. But when push comes to shove it delivers some of the best 2D and...

Sharp Aquos LC-40LE831 review

The Sharp Aquos LC-40LE831 Quattron TV adds yellow to the RGB colour gamut

Rich colour reproduction ; Great motion handling ; Solid media streaming

Sharp LC-40LE831E review

Spotless 3D and stunning HD but Quattron tech isn't quite the finished article

Intense, but controlled brightness ; Clean 3D images ; Full HD detail ; Colour ; Wi-Fi dongle included

Spreadsheet-like EPG ; Busy remote ; Rudimentary user interface

Is Sharp's star on the rise? Hot on the heels of the news that Sharp could be about to get investment from Apple to become the supplier of iPhone and iPad screens, here's another fillip to the inventor of LCD TVs – a cracking 3D TV that's a polished...

Sharp LC-46LE831E review

Sharp's lastest Quattron, the LC-46LE831E, puts high colour at the top of its priority list

Clean and detailed pictures ; smooth motion ; good 3D ; competitive price

Can’t deliver darkest black levels of best ; internet TV content missing catch-up TV

For a big-screen for HD, 2D and 3D, this Sharp is enticing and relatively affordable
