Sharp Aquos LC-D64U

Excellent black levels for an LCD TV; deinterlaced 1080i material properly; solid connectivity with 3 HDMI inputs; classy styling with thin frame around the screen and slim depth.

Relatively expensive; uneven uniformity manifests as irregular bands across screen; color becomes bluer in darker areas; lacks picture-in-picture.

We loved the Sharp LC-52D64U's slim style and solid black-level performance, but we didn't like its less-than-uniform screen.

7 Years and Still Strong

Because of my luck with this TV, I've decided to stick with brand over cost. As long as Sharp continues to keep me happy, I will continue to buy their products.

I'm only commenting because I've owned this TV for seven years and would like to comment how well it has held up. If anyone is purchasing a used Aquos 42" TV, I can recommend it. My TV receives a fair amount of use from the wife and kids. I have used...

The look of the remote is a little bland, but I rarely change batteries and it still works, despite being dropped an awful a lot. Compared to newer TVs, this thing is heavy and thick, but that is just a reflection of the times

7 Years and Still Strong

This is the one...

It was my first HDTV and i couldnt be happier...its beautifull and works great...my ps3 games look amazing in this 42" tv... If you are thinking in buying a HDTV but without getting broke ...this is the one for you...

Great HDTV

Can't Lose

Light sources to the side of the TV can reflect off the ~45 degree angel of the Bezel surrounding the picture. A flat black would have been better for those 2 mm. All in all, it still gets 5 stars because of the oustanding support I received from Aquos...

Fantastic

Find that the sound is very good. SD on full screen much better than many I've seen. Fantastic picture. Find color far more believable than other sets.
