Sharp LC-32LE551U

The Sharp LE551U series of LED HDTVs offers a strong picture and a surprisingly friendly price tag for such a large panel.

Accurate colors. Solid shadow and highlight detail.

Colors run slightly cool and aren't particularly vivid out of the box. No online features.

Power and Conclusion For a 48-inch LED HDTV, the 48LE551U is a modest power consumer. Under normal viewing conditions, it uses 84 watts of power. With the Energy Star mode enabled, that number dips to 66 watts.

Don't raise the price just to put it on sale next week for what it was originally. COME ON MAN!

Good price for this TV + very nice specs

The price here has changed from 249 to 239 now 289 (as of 11/6/2014) and yet its been 249 on Sharps web page for the same time span about 4-5 weeks

Solid Display for a PC

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the larger PC monitors, and I am not disappointed. Text is still slightly "off," so to speak, but between the TV's settings, your GPU's settings, and cleartext in Windows, it's more than bearable for all the...

86 DPI. For comparison, your typical 27" PC monitor has 81 DPI ; Thin bezel. At best they could have gotten another quarter inch out of this before it would be considered edgeless ; Sharp display. Just like the brand name ; Great menu design, nice...

Stand is not adjustable. This is typical of HDTVs, however, so not worth taking an egg off. Just something to be aware of

$250?? Really?

There are only two makes that I consider higher than my S***ung.... the Sharp Aquos and the Sony Bravia lines. I shy away from their pricing. However, this was too inexpensive and a friend of mine, who does not have the best vision needed a new...
