Sharp LC46GD7X

This is an excellent TV which boasts improved styling, great sound and a bright involving picture, but it's AU$700 more expensive than its nearest competitor. With a price reduction this TV could be even more impressive.

1080p support. Bold, bright images. Ghost-free pictures. Removeable speakers. Enhanced styling.

Emphasises digital noise. Not suited to wall mounting. Costly.

Sharp LC46GD7X

This model is much the same as the LC-46G7X supplied in NZ minus the digital tuner. Harvey Norman allowed one out the door for $5300NZ. This is a good value panel when specification is considered, albeit the Americans can get their version for @half...

1080P. Excellent Dynamic Contrast ratio of 10,000:1 (2000:1 native). Great 'in black' detail and colour. Perfectly adequate low def analogue picture reception. 2xHDMI. 46G7X has a side mounted input for game console, camcorder or VCR

Wall mount spacing on back of panel is a bit narrow at 200x200 for such a large frame but it WILL safely wall mount

The reviewer states how it is a bit expensive at over $7k. How about in the US where this TV is currently $US2520 on bestbuy.com, that is < $AUS 3200!!

What a rip-off. Why must we pay double what the US pays for these things!

OK

The picture quality is reasonable but for a much cheaper LCD. It lacks the more modern ad-ons now available.

reasonable picture. Sony is better.

Ridiculously over-priced
