Sharp LC-55LE653U

Sharp's LE653U series of HDTVs offer solid performance and a modest handful of online services at a reasonable price.

Affordable. Solid performance with accurate colors for the price.

Not as many online services and apps as competitors. Can appear slightly oversaturated out of the box.

The Sharp LE653U series of HDTVs show a generally strong picture despite a few quirks. The online feature set is a bit anemic, and colors can appear a little oversaturated out of the box, but it's a solid option if you want to get a big screen from a...

Sharp LC-80LE650U

Sharp's Aquos LE650U series offers reasonably priced LED-backlit HDTV with a generous feature set and an overall sharp picture. Color accuracy and viewing angle performance could be better, though.

Affordable. Bright picture. Solid feature set.

Colors aren't accurate. Low contrast ratio. Off-angle viewing causes color shifting.

Conclusion All things considered, the Sharp Aquos LC-LE650U series offers a good deal, just not a spectacular one. On the one hand you get big screens, lots of features, and a bright, sharp picture, all at an affordable price. On the other hand,...

Sharp LE650 LCD review

If you're looking for a big-screen TV of 60 inches or above, then Sharp should be one of the first brands you consider. Last year's LC-LE640U was a very good combination of picture quality and value, and its replacement offers more of the same. In fact...

The Sharp LE650 boasts better overall picture quality than most competing LCD TVs. Black levels and shadows are dark and detailed, color is accurate, and the image maintains fidelity well in a bright room.

Sound quality has been compromised in the pursuit of a smaller cabinet; some slight black uniformity issues; cheaper big-screen TVs are available.

The Sharp LE650 series sets the big-screen LCD TV value bar high with very good picture quality for the price.

Sharp LE653U TV

The Sharp LE653U LED TV is a good basic TV with a great contrast ratio and good black screen uniformity. The main downsides are the loss of color saturation at an angle and the poor gray uniformity. The Sharp LE635U is a good budget TV. It is pretty...

Great contrast ratio.

Limited viewing angle, with poor colors off-axis. ; Poor gray uniformity.

Sharp LC-65LE654U 1080p LED TV

The LED backlighting in this little Sharp TV are impressive and black levels are well saturated. The picture is better than almost anything in its price range though with competition only from Vizio as a reliable alternative.

setting allows for quick changes in the backlight to accommodate various room light conditions. In very dark scenes from Noah, I could not get enough brightness to see the picture or shadow detail well

Home Theater Screen at an affordable price

The Sharp 80" HDTV in the 650 series is for the most part, a winner in the display size for the price. Do not get the other Sharp 80" model with is pseudo-UHD picture and extra yellow pixels, I compared these side by side and did not see an improvement...

Size, picture quality, ease of setup

Larger stand base, more settings to make the best picture
