The iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ uses an innovative swinging mop arm to keep carpets dry, but it stumbles on basic features you'd expect from a robot this expensive.
Mop-lifting arm works flawlessly Striking design for both robot and dock Obstacle Image Review improves maps Dustbin holds 60 days of debris Simple setup
Doesn't rinse or dry the mopping pad Loud during operation Lackluster smartphone app
“The iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ is one of the best robot vacuums for plush carpets, thanks to its swinging mop arm design.”

The iRobot Roomba Combo j9+ is a versatile robot vacuum and mop with the ability to empty its own dustbin and refill its own water tank, but some competitors offer superior cleaning power and require less maintenance.
Excellent obstacle avoidance Navigates tight spaces well Base station refills robot's mop water Functional wood top on base station Feature-rich app
Doesn’t scrub or vacuum as well as competitors Mop pad requires frequent hands-on maintenance Slow and clumsy while learning a new map One unit malfunctioned in testing
The Roomba Combo j9+ is the most capable robot vacuum and mop hybrid that iRobot has ever made. Compared with its predecessor, the Combo j7+, the Combo j9+ delivers a boost in vacuum suction power and gains the ability to refill its own water tank for...

iRobot's latest combo vacuum and mop gets more intelligent automation and a striking new Clean Base design, which makes its app's shortcomings all the more disappointing.
Retractable mop arm keeps carpets dry ; New Clean Base design blends in with home furnishings ; Recognizes and prioritizes dirtiest areas
Companion app’s maps are basic and many controls are buried in sub-menus ; Mop pads must be cleaned manually ; Expensive
With new intelligent automation features and an attractive new Clean Base, the Roomba Combo J9+ vac/mop hybrid further refines iRobot’s flagship product. But an inelegant app makes using this bot more of a chore than it should be.

The Roomba Combo j9+, iRobot's latest combination robot mop and vacuum, is an updated version of the brand's former flagship model, the Roomba Combo j7+. We especially love this one's self-filling water tank and newly redesigned dock.
The dock now holds and fills water The dock is more like furniture Smarter cleaning features
The noise The wet, dirty mop pad
iRobot has always impressed us with some of the best and most innovative features in the market. However, with the flood of new products, specifically from Chinese competitors offering lower prices, the company has been floundering to stay profitable,...

The Roomba Combo J9 Plus delivers pretty much everything you could want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop. It offers powerful suction, smart scrubbing, and clever object detection, which enables it to seek out and clean the dirt and debris in your...
Powerful vacuum Smart scrubbing mop App is a breeze to use
Pricey Has ongoing part costs Side brush can flick dirt
iRobot’s Roomba Combo J9 Plus (stylized as Roomba Combo j9+) is almost everything you could want from an autonomous cleaning companion, and one of the best robot vacuums if your budget allows for it. It takes everything that made the Roomba Combo J7...
