The Neato Botvac D5 Connected is an all-around solid robot vacuum with accurate laser navigation and built-in Wi-Fi for app control from your phone.

Navigate away from the app-linked Neato Botvac D5 Connected robot vacuum.
The Neato Botvac D5 Connected costs less than some competing robot vacuum cleaners, especially those with an app connection. It has few extra accessories beyond what you get with the lower-end Neato D3.
The D5 picks up less animal hair than other machines. It lacks special cleaning modes, Alexa support, coverage maps and other advanced abilities on board Neato's flagship Botvac.
Neato's midtier Botvac D5 offers plenty robot vacuum for the price, but you're better off spending extra on the most capable robot vacuum the company offers.

Not quite the best out there, but it has a lower retail price
Great at corners, edges, and hard floors, navigates well
Average at carpet, little harder to use
The is a great pick for those that want a good product for slightly less, rather than paying for the best of the best. This also is a good pick for those that are comfortable with their phones, and have it on them at all times, as this group will find...

Scheduling is easy, app response is quick and while the D5 Connected needs a little more babysitting than the Botvac Connected did, it crosses between
Good design ; Great cleaning abilities for a robot vacuum ; Good battery life and auto-recharge docking station ; Smartphone notifications and control ; Easy-to-use and schedule via the app
Some connectivity issues ; Gets stuck every now and then ; No manual control ; No turbo or eco mode ; Expensive given Botvac Connected price
The Neato Botvac D5 Connected is a good little cleaner, it's just not as good as the Botvac Connected, which is now cheaper and therefore around the same price as this newer model.

Smack in the middle of Neato's robot vacuum lineup, the $599 (£481 in the UK, roughly AU$780) Neato Botvac D5 Connected is mediocre in every way. It doesn't choke on pet hair like its budget sibling, the $399 Botvac D3 Connected , and the D5 picks up...

As robot vacuum cleaners go, this one's versatile, powerful and navigable – without the eye-watering price tag
I have to say I’ve been impressed with the versatility of Neato’s Botvac D5 Connected. It could do with a camera and manual remote control so you can extricate it from awkward situations remotely, but it gets on with the business of cleaning generally...

Easy to use.
It gets stuck on lower clearance furniture.

- strongest hoover among the vacuum bots that I have tried; the Neato cleans impeccably even in just one sweep, when most other bots need several sweeps to achieve the same result. - definitely the smartest ― though still not unfallible ― of those I...
- for a robot that is designed to be controlled via WiFi, it is remarkably bad when it comes to maintaining a WiFi connection. - the Neato is ridiculously bad when it comes to finding its base again, even much cheaper vacuum robots that I have tried...

Great at keeping the floor clean despite pets.
Not the greatest in corners.
