Not Worth It

If you are considering purchasing this camera due to cost, DO NOT DO IT. You will end up spending more in shipping and RMA fees than you would simply spending $5-$10 more on a better camera from a brand that is well known and trustworthy. This Camera...

I purchased this webcam for my mother to use on programs such as Msn messenger and Skype so that her grandson could see her since she is out of state. Skype did not recognize it until installing the drivers from the product page on the companies...

Hackintosh compatible

I have not tried this with windows yet so cant comment on the bundled software. I am also using a separate microphone and can't comment on that either.

Decent frame rate and picture quality. Great in low light conditions. Worked out of box with OSX leopard. Works in iChat, Photo Booth, and with screen sharing. I have not tried iMovie yet

Washed out in high light conditions. my desk has a big window next to it, and on sunny days the light level is too high for the camera. For people who like dark dungeons this camera should work great

Good price for the amount paid

The stand works pretty well on a flat surface but it doesn't attach to anything so if you want to set it on a flatscreen or laptop you are out of luck. We just used some masking tape to stick it to the back and it was alright.

It has decent video and color (not great) but its a cheap camera. No software required which was nice

The embedded mic works but with a ton of noise and it has bad pickup. Use a different mic
