D-Link i2eye DVC-1100 Wireless VideoPhone

i2eye eschews the tiny screens of other video phones by commandeering your television, which is both a blessing and a curse.

Uses television screen as display; works comfortably with a small group of people.

Larger screen exaggerates resolution faults; requires firewall tinkering.

D-Link DVC-1000 i2eye review: D-Link DVC-1000 i2eye

D-Link DVC-1000 i2eye

Works without a PC; no long-distance or service fees; simple setup and operation.

No built-in wireless support; directory service may require router reconfiguration; video quality could be better.

The DVC-1000 is an easy-to-use videoconferencing option for broadband users who don't want to be tethered to their PCs.

D-Link i2eye DVC-1100

The i2eye feels to us like a hybrid between a video phone and a videoconferencing system. It sits on top of your television, which it uses as its display. We imagine that most would use the i2eye in a living room or family room where the whole family...

i2eye eschews the tiny screens of other video phones by commandeering your television, which is both a blessing and a curse—blowing up the video can hurt image quality, but you'll be able to fit a lot more on the screen.

Sorenson w/o Sorenson

I have a lot of deaf and hard of hearing friends. A VP (videophone) is a MUST! But being a "hearing" person Sorenson won't give me a VP because they want to make money off of me by using the VRS service (which the FCC pays for every call they get from...

Excellent product. Nothing compared to the Sorenson VP-200 (not for sale) but it works great! Good video quality, easy to use, and love the stand-alone setup

Wireless version is a little pricey. Can't call other Sorenson VPs using phone numbers, must know the public IP address of the person you're calling :( Lighting can be "if-y

I work for Sorenson VRS and i'm a installer/trainer for deaf and hard of hearing people. We have the newest version of that and its not for sale by the way. You would need to set port fowarding/dmz setting to open the firewall to the videophone. Other...
