Trendnet TV-IP422W IP Camera

Execellent tilt/pan, intercom, and night-vision features

Low resolution with fuzzy image quality; unintuitive software; difficult to manage remotely

We really dig the Trendnet TV-IP422W’s pan/tilt and intercom features, but the bundled software is the same dreck that Zonet ships with its product. As we mentioned in our Zonet review, Logitech’s Wi-Life camera system has far superior software,...

Junk.

Junk

Powered USB Port

This camera worked ok for about 3 months and then started going out ; Router shows it still connected but blank picture. I have 3 more cameras by another brand that cost $69 and never give me a problem. Upon calling their "Tech Support" the first out...

amazing little camera for the money

We've owned several of these. They survive outdoors in New England. Snow, rain, heat cold, whatever. Still running after 3 years. Decent indoor night vision. PTZ works well

Software could be better for remote viewing. App stinks and there's no instructions to link to cameras

Not all advertised features are working

Great value for capabilites

SecurView mobile (android application) does not work with ICS devices and seems not having any support

Great Bang for the Buck

I gave it 4 Eggs because I'm very pleased with this unit in the end.

Easy built-in web interface with a reasonable amount of configuration options. Works great with mobile phone software, but i did have to buy a 3rd party app for 4$ to unlock all the features. For a wireless PTZ it's a great deal for about 200

Image quality isn't awesome, as mentioned in the Pro's I had to buy some software for my smart phone to really use it. Motion capture masks are not dynamic, if the camera moves it sets off the motion capture alert

A great budget PTZ IP Cam.

I bought this along 2 TRENDNet TV-121WN's. Viewing them all with the open-source software iSpy is great. Just bought two more 422WN's to increase the surveillance on the house.

The TRENDnet TV-IP422WN is exactly what I expected it to be. The PTZ function works perfectly along with the built-in web interface

The FPS (hovering around 5-15) could be a tad bit better ; The resolution is a bit dated ; Add a built-in speaker for 2-way communication and TRENDnet would have quite a product on their hands ; The included security software for the SecureView Series

Solid, Long Term Camera

Had this installed outside my shop for over 2 years now (wired, not wireless). It sits under the roof overhang so it is mostly out of the weather. Never have to reset it, it just works!

Works as advertised. good price

Haven't found any

It does what it says it does pretty well!

all in all for the price this is an OUTstanding camera. mine is connected wifi so i have the freedom to put it ANYWHERE (as long as there is a power outlet nearby) or an extension cord i can run. it also comes with a wall mound and anchor screws. if...

To be perfectly honest, you will need some computer networking knowledge or a friend to help ; There are some steps to be considered before you purchase an IP cam which are the same for this one ; 1. you will need to know the difference between static...

lets be for real for just 200 bucks, you get pan/tilt/zoom/ and a 330 degree viewing angle with WIRELESS N at 150mbps so something has to give .. and unfortunately that's the video quality. i didn't expect a whole lot but ya the video could be better...

Bang for Buck

Solid, low cost product.

Low cost, decent picture, easy setup. I can remotely view with Linux/FireFox using Java, and from my iPhone using their software app. Lots of event/recording options. I set mine to text me when motion is detected (using my webserver and PHP)

None, for the price
