Poor design makes it a challenge to secure Webcam to a laptop; not optimized for use with Macs.
The Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks provides unmatched image quality, but its design could be improved. While the clear, bright video output will amaze, the constant readjusting of the camera atop your laptop will annoy.

Excellent Quality with Shortcomings
Excellent video quality including color accuracy, auto focus, resolution, and low light sensitivity. A feature that will recognize your face and pan/zoom to it does actually work

To all of those that complain
The reason that usb cable is short is because its a laptop webcam, its perfect length and doesn't create mess. So stop complaining and get a desktop webcam which comes with much longer cable!

worst mount imaginable
Why on earth is Logitech offering their own video conferencing software? Why not click through to video calling via Google, Skype, MSN, et alia? Are these delusions of grandeur? Or just an excuse to load us with more performance-robbing software?
Good lens, and the drivers worked well enough for my Win 7 64 Enterprise install
Mounting it on a desktop is difficult. The clip is too small for my LCD monitor, the stand is unstable, and the cord is ludicrously short. It's hard to understand the series of compromises that could have led to this product configuration

Wish I could review this...
I will try to figure out a way to get this to work. Maybe there is a USB extension cable available at a cheap enough price to make it worthwhile to keep the camera.

I can't rate this thing because the USB cable is only 26" long and it won't reach through my computer desk. I can't believe this. My last el cheapo cam came with a 5' cable

Works Great, Installed Cd with extra programs with no trouble to Win 7 - 64 bit. Did update, it took a lot of the programs back off, said won't work with win 7. The picture was better after the update
Usb cable way to short, Must buy extender. Only way cable will work is if you have a usb outlet on your monitor
