for people who didn't get any sound - try turning up the volume ring at the bottom of the speaker. I have had no trouble except when the volume was down and I didn't realize it.

Love this compact mixer. Clean sound, lots of control and very easy to use. I take it out into the wilderness with a Canon XA20 to mix stereo ambient and a lav mic. It balances perfectly on the tripod and can take a beating.
