This time of year the Internet is crawling with articles, lists and reviews all trying to come up with what was (2010) or what will be (2011) the world’s BEST product. ‘Pointless’ or ‘Great’, you may say? They also offer full Web browsing capabilities, multi-media, gaming, and more.
The Android operating system has evolved into one of the ‘Big Four’ mobile phone operating systems, along with Apple’s iOS for the iPhone, Blackberry’s creatively named Blackberry OS, and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile. The release earlier this year of Android 2.1, and the recent Android 2.2 update just last month, have reaffirmed the popularity of this operating system, and several new phone models have been released to take advantage of these advances:

Without a doubt, 3D is the next big innovation in home entertainment. 3D is an old technology, but the recent success of films like Avatar and Clash of the Titans has brought renewed interest… and today’s advances mean that the quality and level of immersion of 3D images is better than ever. Early reports are very exciting, and note that 3D television tends to draw the viewer into the image landscape, rather than duplicate the “bursting from the screen” effect that is common with theatrical 3D. Either way sounds pretty good to me!

As usual, the recent E3 2010 gaming convention had something for everyone: new games, new consoles & accessories, and there was even a automotive showcase that gave us a look at the cars and automotive technologies that we’ll see introduced in the next few years… as well as having an ultra-cool TRON lightcycle on display!
