HTC Touch Pro 2 (T-Mobile) Review

The HTC Touch Pro2 combines excellent hardware design with a first-class touch user interface, making it the most compelling Windows Mobile device yet. Although it costs $150 more than the sleeker iPhone 3G S , the Touch Pro2 is a powerhouse of a...

Strong call quality, Excellent keyboard, High-resolution display, Straight Talk makes staying in touch easy, Good speakerphone

No 3.5mm headphone jack, Bulky design, Expensive

HTC Touch Pro 2

Banking on the popularity of its Fuze (aka Touch Pro) phones for AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon, HTC has launched the unlocked Touch Pro 2 ($800; price as of 7/14/09) with a slicker design and a spruced-up user interface. But like many Windows Mobile...

Sophisticated, minimalist design ; Improved TouchFLO interface

Camera is just average ; Software lags at times

The Touch Pro 2 marries Windows Mobile functionality with HTC's clean aesthetics and intuitive usability. If you need a stronger camera or quicker-loading apps, you might look elsewhere, but otherwise the Touch Pro 2 does not disappoint

HTC Touch Pro2

Those who can afford the Touch Pro2 will be buying a feature-rich smartphone with a unique conference calling feature and a decent suite of business apps.

Super display, Excellent keyboard, Unique conference calling feature, Easy-to-use speakerphone

Infrequent reception bugs, Most expensive smartphone in town

HTC Touch Pro (Verizon Wireless)

The HTC Touch Pro for Verizon is overly expensive, sluggish, and lacks the features of the AT&T and Sprint versions.

Sharp styling. Clear, punchy voice quality. Full complement of wireless radios. Solid Web browser.

Very expensive. Slow. Not enough RAM. TouchFLO interface is confusing. Lacks features when compared with AT&T and Sprint versions. No IM client. Strange keyboard layout. Non-standard headphone jack.

HTC Touch Pro (Sprint)

The Touch Pro for Sprint offers some compelling improvements over the nearly identical Fuze on AT&T, but it suffers in endurance.

Powerful feature set. Slick interface graphics. Sensibly arranged, five-row QWERTY keyboard. Better software bundle than you get with AT&T's version (the HTC Fuze).

Expensive. Poor battery life. Middling reception quality. Confusing "dual-OS" interface. Could be faster. No camera button or standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

HTC Fuze (AT&T) Review

Like Sprint's Touch Pro, the AT&T Fuze is a stylish and well-built phone with a good Web browser and an intuitive (if sluggish) interface. However, $299 is a lot to spend on a phone, and for that amount of money, we'd recommend the match-priced...

Attractive design, Good, large keyboard, Solid 3.2-MP camera

Bland TouchFLO 3D interface, Expensive, Lacks 3.5mm headphone jack

HTC Touch Pro review:

After a slight delay , the HTC Touch Pro for Sprint has reported for duty. Described by the carrier as "the sophisticated approach to business," the Touch Pro mostly delivers on that claim. The overall look of the device and HTC 3D TouchFlo interface...

The HTC Touch Pro offers a full QWERTY keyboard and a gorgeous touch screen. The Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and EV-DO Rev. A support as well a nice mix of productivity and multimedia features.

The Touch Pro is sluggish at times. The smartphone is bulky, and there's no standard headphone jack or dedicated camera key.

Despite some performance issues, the HTC Touch Pro is one of Sprint's most feature-packed and powerful smartphones for business users.

HTC Touch Pro (Sprint) - Review of the HTC Touch Pro

A stylish smart phone for business users looking for strong data performance, a full keyboard, and a little multimedia fun on the side.

Beautiful design, Large keyboard, Fast data performance, Sharp 3.2-MP camera, Good GPS accuracy

Expensive, Sluggish at times, No auto flash for camera, Lacks 3.5mm headphone jack

The Touch Pro's QWERTY keyboard is good, but it's certainly not our favorite. Each key is large, but the layout is pretty flat, and we found it difficult to type quickly without making errors. We appreciated the quick launch keys for text, e-mail, and...
