Looks like a decent server

It doesn't work with Dual core Opteron CPUs

Its really a flawless barebone, even under a heavy load, the airflow keeps things cool to the touch. I have some of these with hardware raid controllers, somewithout, both applications work great

2 (out of approx 8) had bad motherboards.

sturdy, stable, a typical tyan peice of hardware. the rails worked perfect (which is rare, with barebones) currently we have this baby with dual 248's and 8GB mem and its ROCKIN

none -- people say its loud.. well thats what its a server.. it belongs in a server room where other LOUD servers sleep at night

Performance of the on-board SiL RAID is rather poor, so we end up having to add in a 3ware card.

Excellent design. Well laid out 1U. I am running with RAID 5 using 3Ware 9550sx-8LP and 4 SATA Hitachi Deskstars. Single Opteron 265

Rock-solid for over a month serving a search engine with 8GB of RAM.

VERY loud - louder than many 2U servers we have.
