I purchased it as I had a Bravia TV so it made sense. I like the useability of it with the TV control to operate it.

It has a huge delay when operating it, sometimes it does not automatically come on through the TV when you switch it on. When recording TV programmes it regularly cuts off the ending even thou the time is set at exactly the same as the TV.!!!

Not as good as other models lacks features and can only record to hard drive in DR mode. Deleting titles is slow (instant on other model I have). Series link seems to record the same program episode if it is repated later in the day/week

Bravia Sync. Remote. Looks.

Sound & Vision turn off when using Guide. Slow accessing Guide and Recorded List. Slow start up. TV doesn't auto switch to it during power on (am using HDMI connection).

Robust, gimmic-free build. Good remote control with usable buttons. Some aspects of the software was intuitive and easy to use, such as dubbing (i.e. writing files to DVD)

Response to inputs from the remote control were far too slow - power on/off particularly tedious - I have taken to leaving the machine permantly on. Most of the operations were disjointed and appeared to be developed by separate teams or cobbled...

very easy to record and series link programmes,

annoying that we can't switch btween dvd & tv although both Sony without switching dvd off, some commands take ages to complete eg deleting a 30 min recording takes 18 seconds and switching off takes 3 min. moving to & from radio difficult. very busy...
