super picture, great price

I finally got this player after trying several other brands (Samsung) and am glad I finally got this Sony player I have heard so much about. The picture is beautiful, with a little bit of flickering (it's really hard to see, however) on some scenes,...

Editors ratings missed on this one, top 10 DVD player VS all out there

I have loved this dvd player over all others for a while now, but never fully appreciated it until I bought a KDF-55E2000 Sony 55" Grand WEGA Rear-Projection LCD HDTV and hooked this up to it.

Absolute stunning picture, Upscaling? Yeah, it's real and HD comparable. 7 yo daughter could hook this up. ARE YOU KIDDING?? LOOK AT THE PRICE FOR ALL THIS

Ummmmm, well, I'll have to think a while and get back to you on this one

Bad right audio channel

Failed as soon as I installed it. Right audio channel generated bad hum even without disc in place. Poor quality control in my opinion. Also, the eject button is angled upward making it difficult to use if the player is in a stack of equipment. Poor...

Very Happy consumer

There IS a difference with the upconverting model! I am not ready to jump on the blu ray bandwagon just yet. So we tried this model and are extremely happy with the results. We compared The Last Samuri and Last of the Mohicans on different input...

Wonderfully Simple Cost Effective DVD

I purchased this DVD player from Circuit City (for $65) as a cheap up-converting alternative until the High Def DVD wars resolved themselves. I couldn't be more satisfied. This piece of equipment blends beautifully with my Samsung LN-S4096D LCD. I...

Pixelation in shadows and grainy skin tones

I am using this DVD player with Monster Cable HDMI cable to Sony Bravia kdl-v32xbr2. I find the background shadows are heavily pixelated and even come up green. Skin tones appear grainy or overly red. There also tends to be overbearing shadows on...

inexpensive HDMI dvd player

Pixelation in shadows, grainy skin tones, slow disc feed, only one HDMI port, no antenna connection, no upscaling for all inputs
