Canon CanoScan LiDE 25

The Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 does a good job as a basic, general-purpose scanner for home use.

Low price. Reasonably good-quality scans for photos. Color-restore feature for faded photos. Batch-scan option. Simple interface for beginners and an advanced interface for better control.

Minimal software bundle includes only a photo editor and light-version OCR program. USB 1.1 connection limits scan speed.

Canon CanoScan LiDE 25

Very compact, Affordable

Low performance, Sub-par image quality, Limited features, Low resolutions

The Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 is very inexpensive, but its compromises in speed, quality, and features make it hard to recommend

Best Scanner Ever!

The driver is all you need the toolbox software is not needed for basic usage.

Easy to use. I use for work and it does everything expected. Even high quality photo scans come out perfect.

Needs driver.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Love it.

I ave scanned old family photos and had to turn down the resolution because it found every minor scratch and flaw on the old photo paper. It was working to good.

I have owned this over 2 years now and it has always worked flawlessly. It also fits in my bag for my laptop so I can take it with me whenever I want and its never in the way.

Good Scanner

If your looking for a good portable scanner than this one does a great job. If your looking for a fast scanner, I'd look at something different.

Very slim and uses the power off the USB, so no need for external power supply.

Very slow at scanning. Probably due to low power consumption.

Sorry about my last review mismatch.

Love it!

Small, USB powered, LED light source which requires no warm up time and should be very reliable and stable, works with VueScan under Linux.

None so far.

Affordable but slow

This product is a very small form fitting scanner to fit really any desk setup you might have.

Very slow scanning ability , so if your using it for professional use it wouldnt be a good bet, but for the occassional scan of your girlfriend in a binki or your buds holding some brews and looking stupid, well this well do fine and its affordable but...
