The Best ScanSnap Yet

These scanners are great, fast duplexed ADF units. I recommend them to clients frequently.

Full Version of Software with bundled version of this product (including adobe standard) ; Scan to tablet/phone via free fujitsu software ; Scan to PC (wired) ; Scan to PC over wireless (*Required firmware upgrade, done automagically buy scansnap...

Desktop Software sometimes requires a restart (close then re-open) if wifi signal is interrupted

WiFi to computer now supported

It would be nice if Fujitsu would include the Mac version of Acrobat XI with the scanner. It only comes with the Windows version. I have Acrobat 8 from my previous ScanSnap purchase, so I use that. Some folks have complained about occasional upside...

Fast, accurate scanner. I bought this because I have an earlier model of the same scanner, and love it. It was time to add a second scanner to our home offices. With the latest driver and firmware updates, which I was automatically prompted to install,...

While the wifi to computer is nice, the ScanSnap software doesn't seem to be remembering my choice to automatically connect the next time I want to use it. I'm on a MacBook Pro running 10.6.8, and I have to right click on the dock icon for the ScanSnap...

Scansnap iX500

It does a nice job scanning with speed, and accuracy. Very useful, and priced nicely. I have purchased about 10 over the past year as the company I work for begins its process to going paperless.

It is fast, it aligns pages pretty well, duplex, various paper sizes all together

Cannot scan into 3rd party program. Cannot manually rotate or delete pages. It reads pages, on occasion, upside down when they are not which is where rotation would be very useful. I scan a variety of light and dark documents, so I cannot change the...

Stand and Deliver

It would be great if this had an optional battery module and USB port to scan into. That way it could be used in the field, without a computer attached.

I got access to the S1500 version of this model many years ago. It has been reliable and resilient. When there is a problem, it tends to do the right thing (e.g. if there is a job, toss the incomplete page and restart the job at that point) ; I've...

There are a few rough edges that the newer models corrected. If a job is set to ask for more pages, it is necessary to quit the job and then not discard the work in process... there should be a option. The USB2 can be swamped at higher resolution. The...

Slices, dices, and... oh, wait.

Upgraded my five-year-old previous model to this one.

Does what it says on the tin. Fast enough that the only time I'm really waiting for it to scan is when I dropped in a 66-page document. Yes, that's sixteen over the claimed feeder capacity, and it worked in one try without any problems. Negligible...

Included Acrobat license is Windows-only. No wired Ethernet. Wireless scanning is only available to a mobile device (not your Mac/PC). No official Linux support (some unofficial support, but still a work in progress). I almost feel guilty taking off an...

Clean your office

I closed two businesses and I'm planning to move across country, and I don't want to carry tons of paper with me until the Tax people decide there is no need to call me for an audit. The ScanSnap allows me to carry all my paperwork in pdf form. It took...

Fast, easy to install, small footprint, easy to use software ; It took very dim credit card receipts and made them look pristine without any additional steps

I didn't buy this sooner. Anyone want to buy a used flat bed scanner

Fantastic Scanner

The power and USB cables that came with this device are long enough to actually be usable without extension cords, or altering your desk configuration too much. I do a lot of large document scanning. This has sped up my process dramatically. I used to...

This is an incredibly fast and reliable scanner. Load your documents, push a button and go. Since is scans both sides of the document simultaneously there is no chance of a duplexing mechanism causing some sort of failure to feed. Great options for...

Wireless function only works with mobile devices. Why put a wireless card in the scanner at all if you aren't going to allow the main computer to work with it

Fantastic upgrade to the s1500

I have purchased 25 of the ScanSnap s1500's and this new version (iX500) of this scanner is amazing. The UI has been improved. These things are bullet-proof. We use them all day long. Aside from some occasional cleaning, they JUST WORK!!

Fujitsu has done a fantastic job upgrading their software. It now runs a lot faster. The hardware is also very good. Fast duplex scanning and easy maintenance

Great deal!

Fast, efficient, scanning software is intelligent, doesn't misinterpret thick paper as misfeeds. Bought a Brother scanner from Costco that isn't nearly in the class of Fujitsu

Not sure about the wireless scan to mobile device thing. Can't see a practical use for that myself. Scanning over a wireless network would be quite slow compared to the USB 3.0 desktop interface. I scan straight through to the server and, if I want...

I rarely post comments on hardware I purchase because I am rarely impressed enough to waste the time typing in my impressions. With the iX500, I can't resist ; I have been using a Panasonic KV-S2026C scanner in my law firm for years. It has been...

(1) Construction doesn't seem super sturdy but its not like I am going to use it to work the farm ; (2) Sheet feeder is only 50 pages. I would prefer more but, for the price, no complaints ; (3) While the paper intake design is acceptable the paper...
