Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500

The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 includes a 1-year limited warranty, which is typical among scanners at this price point. Though a small number of users report initial defects, most never need to call on the warranty. Feedback on the quality of customer...

Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 review

Great for businesses that regularly deal with hundreds of hard copy pages, but others could do better with an MFP or portable document scanner

It may seem expensive for a scanner, but it's the document management features that makes the Fujitsu ScanSnap ix500 a great buy. If you only need to scan the occasional document you may be better off with an MFP, but if you have either years of...

See: more scanner reviews.

Fujitsu has reminded us once again that the ScanSnaps lead the way in sheetfeed scanners. In all honesty, there was nothing a great deal wrong with the S1500, and we suspect owners of the older device won't have sufficient reason to upgrade. However,...

Can't beat it for the price

I purchased this to have a better way to digitally archive hundred of personal finance documents than a flatbed. I also wanted to preserve a group of old paperbacks, magazines, and comic books which were falling apart and coming unbound. I am about...

7:59 AM ; SUPER FAST double sided multi sheet scanning ; High quality searchable PDF and JPG scans fairly easy to obtain ; Includes $400 worth of Bundle Adobe Acrobat and ABBYY software, so hardware is essentially free

No TWAIN Support - need to use the bundled Fujitsu software which has limitations. Fujitsu says this is to make scanning easier for non-tech savvy users but their software is still very complicated with many levers to pull ; Has problems scanning pages...

Will not power on

Fast, quick, great scanner

Used very minimally and suddenly will not power on

N0 TWAIN Support

It's my fault for not researching this device completely, but it should be a WHOLE LOT CLEARER that this isn't compatible with ANY third party software.

For me? There are no PROS. The ScanSnap series does NOT support TWAIN

I expect scanners to support TWAIN. If you look through all the info here at NewEgg, you will discover that it does SAY that it doesn't support TWAIN, but It's isn't noted prominently in the item description

Good While It Lasts

Worked well enough for six months and then refused to even feed paper. I'm good at this and tried every trick I could find to make it work. Nothing. Try something different.

Ease of use, reasonable price, good reproduction, small foot print

Poor Wi-fi connectivity. Short life

No TWAIN support!

Seems like nice device if you don't need to scan into a specific TWAIN compatible app (such as document management software) with out FIRST scanning to PDF, then importing. While this may be fine for scanning a document here and there, I was expecting...

Pretty blue lights, wireless scanning might have been useful

Does NOT support TWAIN (i.e. can only scan into the included snapscan software)

One of the best desktop scanners on the market

I would recommend this product. In scanners, you get what you pay for. This scanner isn't inexpensive, but it's not a piece of junk either. I is a workhorse that will last years.

Fujitsu really stepped up their game w/the iX series scanners. I have purchased about 10 of these in the past 2 years for small medical offices where they do heavy scanning of medical charts and such. Zero issues. I will continue to buy these for...

No cons really, except the wifi part isn't simple to figure out

Fujitsu iX500

I am using the scanner to scan in old magazines and documents and works very well for the needs. Only wished it had a higher DPI capability and ability to accept larger paper.

Able to scan many pages continuously. Scanner and associated software is easy to use and fairly customizable. For a package that comes with Adobe Standard (~$200) it is a great deal

Has high tendency to produce scan lines when scanning many sheets with full color pictures. Sometimes the rollers will grab an incorrect sheet
