A multi-talented Blu-ray recorder and 1TB Freeview PVR
Extensive recording and archiving features ; Superb picture quality across the board ; Easy to use
Viera Connect ; Can't watch a third channel while recording two ; A tad cumbersome in places
Bringing things right up to date we find an HDMI output and Ethernet port, the latter providing an alternative to the deck’s built in Wi-Fi. There are three audio outputs to choose from – optical, coaxial and analogue stereo – and a second USB port...

Panasonic currently stands alone in producing decks capable of both recording Freeview programmes to hard disk and archiving them to Blu-ray, and the DMR-BWT735 is its latest such offering. Burning content to disc may seem an old-school concept – this...
Freeview recording/Blu-ray archiving in one; extensive smart features; value for money
You can't record while using the apps portal or player's DLNA functionality; more catch-up TV would be nice

Quick to start up, can transfer to Blu-Ray disc, twin tuners, plenty of storage, when recording you can edit times, ie add to start time and end time, if you stick to EPG you miss part of program.
EPG slow to scroll, no time slip on this model, jerky when fast forwarding, set it up for series recording and it misses some episodes, so what's point of being able to series record.

Once I read the manual (essential) all went well. Recording setup from the TV guide is a breeze.
Bit expensive.

You can save recordings to DVD, and Blu Ray discs. Easy timer setup though needs fine tuning.
You can't save recordings from hard drive or external hard drive to PC for further editing etc. It dosen't read all external drives. Cant read DVD Audio or Super Audio discs. Cant record video direct to disc or audio in to disc. Can't record/time...

Ease of installation.
No button on remote control to eject discs. Constant reminders (several times a week) to re-scan for 'new' FreeView channels.
