Review: Sony Ericsson K850i

Image isn't everything. Beyond a solid Cyber-shot-branded cam, this tidy 118 gram candy bar comes chock full of sweet, easy-to-master programs that let you edit,...

Truly pocket-size; accelerometer allows quick-flips between landscape and portrait. Swift and seamless, on-the-go publishing to Blogger. Always-on headlight option for dim video shoots. BestPic takes rapid sequence of nine images – bonus: “best”...

No optical zoom. Sluggish Auto Fix takes 30-45 seconds per pic. Snapping shots silences FM radio. No Wi-Fi, no GPS, no geocoded vaca pics. Neither a 3.5 mm nor a 2.5mm headhpone jack (better RFID that Sony FastPort set of earbuds!)

Quick Look: Sony Ericsson Rogers k850i Cyber-shot phone

I've spent over a month with the k850 and have been quite impressed with all of the thought and care that has gone into its design. I am still a little disappointed by some camera kinks that keep it from becoming a truly fantastic camera phone.

I still don’t think a camera phone can really replace a decent digital camera, but the more serious ones with auto focus can be fantastic simply because they save you the trouble of bringing extra gear along on every outing – and the k850's imaging...

Sony Ericsson K850i

Sony Ericsson is known for great displays and serious cameras, and the K850i is no exception. Sporting a 5MP camera, complete with LED photo light, flash, video recording, and a host of photo-editing features, you are guaranteed a quality picture! In...

Sony Ericsson K850i Review

There's no doubt about it, the new Sony Ericsson K850i is the new star of the Cyber-shot series. After the huge success of K550i and K800i, Sony Ericsson decided to challenge Nokia's high-end N95 handset offering the same 5-megapixel camera at a lower...

The best phone from the Cyber-shot series, even if not cheap can definitely satisfy any mobile phone fan. Aside from the fact that it features the best camera ever embedded in a Sony Ericsson handset and HSDPA connectivity, K850i also features high...

Besides the fact that the keypad is very difficult to use, Sony Ericsson handsets seem to be improved nicely. Perhaps a much better CPU would've make this handset much faster or at least will make lags disappear. Furthermore, the lack of WLAN might...

Lightning Review: Sony Ericsson K850i CyberShot Phone (Verdict: Almost Usable, But Not Quite)

The Gadget: Sony Ericsson's K850i is part of Sony's CyberShot line of phones which boast high quality cameras in a cellphone package. In addition to its 5 MP camera and unusual design, the phone has three touch sensitive buttons just below the screen....

Review: Sony-Ericsson K850i

Fast and featured but not a full smartphone.

Well-designed hardware and software interface.- Good call quality and fast Internet over 3G.- Excellent camera for a phone.- Solid music player software

Expensive for a non-smartphone device.- Web and camera still limited compared to the very high end.- Standby life shorter than expected.- No choice but to use proprietary budget earbuds

designThe first observation most will make about the K850i is regarding its thickness: there's no escaping the reality that this phone is bulky. The design is not especially sharp-edged and will fit into most pockets, but it's certainly not for

Sony Ericsson K850i

The Sony Ericsson K850i is up for grabs at a price of S$828. For that price, you'll find a remarkably competent 5.0-megapixel camera on-board and even touch functionality.

Sony Ericsson K850i - Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

In the world of high tech, you don't want your product to come out a month after your competitor's, let alone 6 months. That's the itchy-scratchy position Sony Ericsson finds themselves in with the K850i coming out a half a year after the flagship...

Great camera with faster camera performance than the N95, fantastic display, excellent Bluetooth with a large selection of profiles and good range, has both M2 and microSD card slots. Good battery life for a 3G phone with a Xenon flash. Finally,...

Keypad isn't good for heavy texters. Great touch controls, but funky d-pad. Nighttime and dim scene imaging on automatic setting is not good. Fast port connector instead of 2.5 or 3.5mm stereo jack (why do we still have to buy a high-end Walkman phone...

The K850i improves significantly on the Cybershot K790i it replaces. Though on the surface it looks like a face-lifted version of the K790i and K800i, inside there's a lot of good new stuff going on: the 5MP camera with improved still images and much...

Sony Ericsson K850i

The K850i Cyber-shot phone is a true digital still camera - down to the very last of its 5 megapixels. Automatic lens cover. Auto focus for no-hassle sharpness, xenon flash for poor light conditions.

The manufacturer is gradually refusing from issuing balanced solutions like K750i, which, in fact, served the company to win the technology leader status and attracted a big number of new loyal customers. During the development the camera phone product...
