If you need a lot of zoom for a little cash, the GE X600 packs an impressive 26x lens, along with an electronic viewfinder, at a low price.

Inexpensive. 26x zoom lens. Sharp lens and EVF. Relatively compact.

Slow to start. Lengthy shutter lag. Rolling shutter in video. Low-res rear LCD.
