Ricoh PX Review

The Ricoh PX is Ricoh's first ever dust, shock and waterproof digital camera. The Ricoh PX is waterproof to a depth of 3 metres for up to 60 minutes and can withstand being dropped from a height of 1.5 metres. Other key features of the 16 megapixel PX...

The Ricoh PX is a decent first stab at an all-action camera that should withstand more than a few knocks and submersions. We appreciate the fact that the PX doesn't make a big song and dance about its tough credentials, looking to all intents and...

Ricoh PX review

A water, dust and shockproof compact camera with a high-res sensor

Sturdy build ; Minimal design ; Decent button response (at least for a waterproof) ; Well priced ; Good underwater operation

Image quality compromised by noise an all sensitivities ; Zoom rocker not ideally positioned ; LCD could be better ; Lens doesn't move steadily through its focal range

Rugged waterproof compact cameras tend to be fashioned to look as hardwearing as they claim to be, with chiselled edges, intricate details and exposed screw tops all giving the impression of solidity. Ricoh's PX proves this doesn't always have to be...

The Ricoh PX : Ricoh Ricoh PX

Available in a choice of lime green, champagne silver or black (as in the case of the review model), the Ricoh PX is a waterproof, shockproof and dust-resistant digital camera. Perhaps I should have included the word “compact” into that description as...

While I am sure that many will appreciate the compact design of this digital camera, I found it a little too small for my taste. The main problem was trying to keep my fingers away from the lens when holding the camera in my normal manner. Other than...

Ricoh PX Digital Camera

This is described as waterproof, I assume that applies when a partial sleeve is applied. What is more interesting is the zoom is not with the normal lens extension but by using a sort of periscope action inside the unit.

On occasions people say that I do not mention the image quality well you can be certain if it was poor I would do so. So I was more than happy with images taken with the PX and have printed and enlarged a good number all fine. I do have a slight...

Ricoh PX

A heavy-duty compact camera from Ricoh that can take all you can throw at it

A camera that you can take anywhere in your pocket and not worry about it getting dropped, wet or otherwise harmed – but the image quality isn’t perfect

Ricoh PX review

Sealed against water, dust, dirt and shock, the Ricoh PX distances itself from its rivals with a stylish minimal design. What Digital Camera investigates whether the PX's images are just as easy...

Solid build, well priced, good underwater performance, decent focusing system

Image noise, poor quality LCD, zoom moves unsteadily through its range

Ricoh PX

Great camera if you live and are taking pictures near sand or water as it is waterproof.I have never tried this camera under water, however, this is the reason I bought it.My last camera got sand caught in the extending lens and caused problems !

Get extra memory card to add to camera for usage
