Very nice stand in a hard-to-find finish and size. Has a reddish tone to the finish, but blends nicely with my golden oak tables. It was extremely well packaged and could probably survive almost any shipping nightmares without a scratch.

4 months later, it works great, great clarity, although the remote is a bit weird having the Menu button and Enter button in odd places. Played DVDs from US and Europe - no problem. Will recommend this DVD player

If you do not have an HDTV then you can always use the SCART output, or alternatively use the component video out in order to get the image onto the screen and with the XV-N680B's quick loading abilities there will be minimal delay prior to watching.
