While it's been proven Sony is a bit behind in the top-shelf audiphile-grade class, Sony has done its homework and has certainly improved its offerings in the consumer grade class. Not too long ago, there were many complaints about Sony's sub-$300...

Inexpensive and fairly versatile. Good feature list, good bang for buck

No DVD-A, not total SACD compatibility, A good utility DVD player
