AKG K240 MKII HEADPHONES

The AKG K240 MKII are semi-open, critical listening headphones with an above-average sound. They're comfortable to wear and deliver an immersive audio reproduction. Unfortunately, they're not the most versatile headphones. They perform poorly in loud...

Above-average audio reproduction. ; Lightweight and comfortable design.

Very sensitive to ambient noise, by design. ; High leakage, by design.

AKG K240 MKII Review

Over the years, different variants of the K240 have garnered a reputation of being the base-level standard when it comes to studio monitoring headphones. Budding audiophiles the world over take their first steps into serious listening with these...

Great performance across the spectrum, Semi-open (carves a good niche), Very light and comfortable

Build quality is a little questionable, Not the prettiest looking

Always listenable, but you can do much better at this money

Comfortable; spacious, even delivery; don?t leak as much as the fully open ?phones

Too soft to dig-up the finest details and dynamic nuances; needs a bit more punch

Clean, detailed and relatively balanced headphone with one major flaw for me personally.

Introduction I have owned these headphones for four years now. These were my first decent pair that I researched before buying. Before this I had just bought inexpensive headphones that happened to be in the shop at the time or used ones that were...

Beautiful mids, instrument separation, detail retreival, non-fatiguing, light weight

Positional accuracy, small earpads. slight lack of punchiness (though this does make them an easy listen)

Great studio headphones for performance... Good casual listening experience as well.

I see a lot of reviews on here saying that they are "super smooth" in the mid range... Well I will tell you, the mid range is very interesting on these headphones... But it is definitely harsh. I always need to roll the volume back to accommodate this...

Nice texture in mids to highs. Decent price. Exciting studio performance headphone

Weak plastic build. Plastic components in ear cups will wear out, snowballing into further damage. Extremely bright

Decent detailed sound. Good value for the money.

I'm professional musician and I bought it for my home studio. I own also Sennheiser HD 449. From my perspective It might be difficult to mix and master on these AKG if you are not used to them because they are heavy on bass and middles, sound is not...

Details, Loud, good bass and mids

Not suitable for mix and master
