Technika STB-HDH2010

A good quality HD set-top-box and for 30-quid a real bargain. Easy to tune-in and use. HD pic's are bright and detailed. The SD pic's are upscaled to psuedo-HD and are OK. The box runs nice and cool, and software updates are easy to do.

The remote control on this HD box looks the same as the one supplied with my Grundig FreeSat system - and guess what ..... it interferes with the FreeSat! This proved to be a big problem - changing channels on the Technika changed channels on the...

For the clearance of £15 including HDMI cable appeared to be a bargain.

1 Although HD signal strength was excellent, signal quality was only 10-15% resulting in frequent picture breakup. 2 Refused to stay SWITCHED OFF.

Now and then have to reseat the power cable when the image freezes.

It shuts itself down if left so you need to wake it up each time. Probably an eco feature tho.
