Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb White and Color

 

The Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb White and Color is a simple and relatively affordable way to add color-changing lighting to your home.

No hub required. Lots of color and ambience options. Voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Little support for third-party integration. Slightly below average lifespan.

If you're looking to get into color-changing lighting, and don't want to spend a fortune, the Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb White and Color is an excellent choice, especially if you put a lot of them throughout your home. Philips Hue bulbs remain our Editors'...

This $20 smart bulb is a perfect partner for Alexa

 

It isn't anything fancy, but the Alexa-compatible Eufy Lumos LED boasts solid specs and foolproof smart controls.

Anker's Eufy-branded smart bulb offers plenty of brightness, a surprisingly good app and full compatibility with Alexa. It doesn't need a hub -- just screw it in, turn it on and sync with your phone over Wi-Fi.

The Lumos LED doesn't work with Siri, the Google Assistant or IFTTT. You also can't use the app to schedule fades.

If you're just looking for a cheap-but-good smart bulb to pair with Alexa, put Eufy at the top of your list.

Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb White

 

The Eufy Lumos is a standalone Wi-Fi smart bulb you can control from anywhere using your phone. It works without a hub, and at $20, it's a good way to try out smart lighting.

No hub needed. Remote Wi-Fi access. Voice control via Amazon Alexa. Simple, well-designed app.

Large size for small fixtures. Lacks third-party integrations.

If you're looking to give smart lighting a try, but aren't ready to commit to an entire house of smart bulbs, the Eufy Lumos is a great place to start. Without a hub you can easily group lights, schedule them, and access them remotely. The app is easy...
