Acer Iconia A1-810 review

If you were thinking the Acer Iconia A1-810 is an iPad Mini replacement for Android fans, you'd be wrong. Sure, on the surface, the A1-810 aims to replicate the iPad Mini's appeal, but in reality, it barks like a budget Android tablet.

The Acer Iconia A1-810 has a low price, runs the latest version of Android 4.2, and includes an expandable storage option and a Micro-HDMI port.

The tablet is thicker and heavier than other small tablets and uncomfortable to hold in one hand. Its screen could be brighter, and the front-facing camera takes washed-out, blurry photos.

The Acer Iconia A1-810 goes low on price, but the Google Nexus 7 costs about the same and is still the tablet to get with its sharper screen and more comfortable build.

Acer Iconia A1-810-L497 ( 16GB, gray)

The tablets share the same 7.9-inch screen size, 4:3 aspect ratio, and subpar resolution (by today's standards), but that's kind of where the similarities end. The A1-810 is noticeably thicker than the iPad Mini and aesthetically, while it's not...

Review Acer Iconia A1-810 Tablet

The new tablet icon? Acer's Iconia A1-810 is a 7.9-inch Android tablet with "Uncompromising Performance and Extreme Mobility" – at least according to the manufacturer. We will check if this is true in our review.

Very good system performance, Decent camera at the back, Good build quality, Low system noise, Good speaker, Latest Android version, The good performance results and the decent camera

High energy consumption during idle, Inconvenient haptics, Weak GPS module, Comparatively low resolution, A higher resolution display and better haptics feedback

Acer Iconia A1 Hands On Review

Acer didn't just show two Windows 8 machines today, the Aspire R7 and the Aspire P3, but they also took a moment to give its new Android tablet, the Iconia A1, its own moment in the sun. The Acer Iconia A1 features a 7.9-inch display with IPS...

Acer will be making two versions of the Iconia A1 available: an 8GB and 16GB version, which will retail for $169 and $199, respectively. At this point, there’s no specific release date for the Android tablet, but an Acer representative says the Iconia...

Acer Iconia A1 hands-on

Cheap Android tablets seem to be all the rage nowadays, as we've witnessed just the past recent holiday season. From the mighty Google Nexus 7, to other rival offerings such as the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and NOOK TABLET, manufacturers are ready to give...

Obviously, this isn’t trying to compete with the big boys in the Android tablet market, but rather, it’s aiming to give some of those budget tablets a good run for their money. Out of everything, we have to give some props to Acer for putting a $170...

Acer Iconia A1-810 Android tablet

The Acer Iconia A1-810 is a low-cost, 7.9in Android tablet that offers good value for money

Reasonable performance ; Good value for money ; microSD card slot

Below average screen ; Thick design ; No 3G or 4G model in Australia

The Acer Iconia A1-810 is a low-cost, 7.9in Android tablet that shares many similarities to the Apple iPad mini. There's a few compromises including a below average screen and a thick design, but the Iconia A1 performs reasonably well overall and...

Acer Iconia A1-810 Android tablet (preview)

The Acer Iconia A1-810 is a 7.9in Android tablet that will compete directly against Apple's iPad mini

Competitive price tag ; microSD card slot ; Touch WakeUp feature

Thicker & heavier than iPad mini ; No 3G or 4G model in Australia ; No real standout feature

The Acer Iconia A1-810 is a low-cost, 7.9in Android tablet with a very competitive price tag. It could prove to be a good alternative to the iPad mini if you're on a budget.

Acer Iconia A1

A £150 tablet that melds the design of the iPad mini with the Nexus 7's low cost.

and we can’t see it eclipsingAsus’s budget Fonepad and Nexus 7, but it is a solid budget tablet.
