Acer Iconia Tab A110

Unless you absolutely need microSD and HDMI out on your 7-inch tablet, there's no reason to choose the Acer Iconia Tab A110 over the less expensive Google Nexus 7.

Runs Android 4.1. Micro HDMI out and microSD slot.

Low-quality screen. Clunky design. Relatively expensive. Disappointing battery life.

Conclusions Were it not for the subpar screen and battery life, the Acer Iconia Tab A110 would have made an interesting alternative to the Nexus 7, as many people have complained about the lack of microSD expansion and micro HDMI out capability....

Acer Iconia Tab A110 review

At first glance the Acer Iconia Tab A110 looks almost the same as the popular Google/Asus Nexus 7. It's a similar size considering it is a 7in tablet, 127 x 193mm. However, closer inspection reveals the differences. Only not all good differences.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 doesn't stand up to the obvious competition from the Nexus 7, let down by a chunky design and low-grade screen. It's more expensive than Google's tablet, with less storage, so unless you need a microSD card slot or micro HDMI...

It’s not possible to judge the A110, or any other seven inch tablet, without comparing it to the Nexus 7. A year ago we’d have probably classed this as one of the better budget tablets. But the game has changed and we now have higher expectations of...

Acer Iconia A110 Review

The whole time I have had the Iconia A110 I keep looking at my Nexus 7 and wondering how it handles what I'm testing. It has been a difficult one to review, but here we go. First of all my good and bad points: Good points Tegra 3 Quad Core CPU/GPU 1GB...

The Acer Iconia A110 arrived on the scene a little bit late, everything you do with the Iconia you think about using the Nexus instead. I think the design and the hardware really put me off. the fact it was released after the Nexus 7 and cost more than...

Acer Iconia Tab A110 Review

Acer's Iconia Tab A110 has plenty to offer, including its quad-core power and latest version of the Android OS. It's just a pity the 7in display is a bit of a letdown.

Costs less than £200; Quad-core nVidia power; Decent build quality; Android Jelly Bean OS

Dim display; Chunky

Acer’s Iconia Tab A110 is one of the latest in a long line of budget devices to appear. It’s good value at less than £200 for a device with a quad-core chip. And with the latest version of Android and the ability to play the latest games, it seems like...
