Another millimeter thinner, the new iPad Air 2 has a body that's even more befitting the ethereal moniker the iPad bears second year in a row. Outside of that little fact however, the changes may not be as easy to spot. And that's hardly a surprise.
3G/LTE 150Mbps model available as an option (comes with GPS/GLONASS) ; 9.7" LED-backlit IPS LCD touchscreen, 1536 x 2048 pixels, ~ 264ppi; scratch-resistant, oleophobic coating, 56% less reflectance claimed ; Thinner than ever at 6.1 mm and lighter at...
Hardware Mute/Rotation lock switch is gone for no practical reason ; No microSD slot ; Pricey storage upgrades, 32GB version should be standard for the asking price ; No enhanced resistance to liquids or dust, while the competition has them ; Tied into...
The above-9" tablet space has moved past great evolution and it offers mature products that are getting better and better. The iPad Air 2 is the descendant of the family that started it all and the perfect embodiment of the change.

It's a conflicting time for Apple. On one hand, it's a joyous occasion for the company because its latest iPhones, which come in larger screen sizes than
Touch ID now comes included ; Long battery life ; Good performance
Only a couple of upgrades ; Commands a $100 premium over last year's model
The iPad mini 3 is just as good as its predecessor, but its lack of feature upgrades doesn't justify its price and places it behind the Air 2 in specs. Unless you love Apple's fingerprint sensor and Apple Pay, you may want to opt for last year's model...

Offering the ideal balance of size, performance, and price, the iPad Air 2 remains a solid value for everyday users, even as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro takes on the mantle of best iPad ever made.
The iPad Air 2 has a great balance of size and weight. Crisp, bright display. iOS 9 runs perfectly, including split-screen apps.
Priced relatively high for a tablet; single speaker isn't that loud compared to iPad Pro.
Apple's aging mid-range tablet is still the perfect mix of size and performance for nearly everyone.

In 2013, Apple gave the full-size iPad a makeover, with a thinner, lighter design based on the Mini's, and the same innards as in the iPhone 5S.
The iPad Air delivers solid performance and battery life in an attractive and impossibly thin-and-light package. The front-facing camera delivers excellent FaceTime capabilities and the Retina Display is top-notch.
No Touch ID fingerprint scanner, meaning you’ll have to type in a passcode with every unlock and a password with every purchase.
Imbued with first class design and aesthetics, within the full-size tablet universe, the iPad Air is second only to its newer sibling, the Air 2.

That noted, the iPad Air 2, the progenitor of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro design, remains arguably the better value. It costs $100 less and has virtually everything a conventional user needs in a tablet. With a keyboard accessory, it's a great portable...

The iPad Air 2 balances seamless ease of use, app abundance, and raw power in its ever-so-slender frame, continuing Apple's reign atop the tablet heap.

While the iPhone is a gadget that's still in evolution, the iPad feels pretty close to perfection. And the iPad Air 2 hasn't done all that much to change the equation. It's even thinner than last year's version. It has a faster processor. It has...
The new iPad Air gets an improved A8X processor, better rear and front-facing cameras, an even thinner and lighter design, an anti-reflective screen, a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and more built-in storage at higher configurations than last year.
The Air 2 isn't a big change from last year's iPad in terms of overall function; battery life remains the same, although its battery life is already pretty good. Audio playback via speakers makes the thin metal body resonate more than before.
The iPad Air 2 is a nice refinement and finesse of last year's model, with a bevy of tweaks, enhancements, a much faster processor, and the welcome addition of Touch ID. Simply put: it's still the gold standard for tablets.

As we approach the holidays, Apple has launched a new iPad as expected. As one might expect from the name, the iPad Air 2 is more of an evolution of the original iPad Air than a clean-sheet design. This doesn't mean that there's little to talk about...
Overall, there’s a lot to go over on the iPad Air 2. While the name suggests that it’s an iterative update in nature, in practice these updates add a lot of compelling hardware to the high-end iPad line. One of the first areas worth looking at here is...

Ironed and strengthened. Even slimmer and faster but just as sophisticated, enduring and elegant as its predecessor. The iPad Air 2 is surrounded by many superlatives and is really the fastest iPad so far. But there are also some smaller drawbacks, and...
Great design, High-quality materials, Fast components, Great display, Excellent GPS module, Covers many frequencies, Good camera in daylight, Good viewing angle stability, Decent speakers, Finally 2 GB memory
Pressure-sensitive case, Configurable toggle was removed, Problems with iOS 8.1, Throttling of the CPU and GPU, Only LTE Cat. 4, No Bluetooth 4.1, NFC without antennas can only be used in combination with Apple Pay, Signal noise of the Bluetooth...
The Apple iPad Air 2 is still a really good tablet that is pleasing with its even slimmer construction and high-quality materials. Unfortunately, the slim construction also results in some drawbacks since the tablet is more sensitive to pressure...
