What does a laptop in the post-PC era look like? Is it an ultrabook with familiar internals and software in a dramatically slimmed-down shell? Or is it possible to use a modern mobile OS like...
Great design, build, and size ; Bright, high quality SuperIPS+ screen ; Tablet can run for over nine hours ; Superb gaming performance
Poor app selection and quality ; Software isn’t completely optimized for the faster processor ; Browser performance can be sluggish
The laptop of the post-PC world needs the software to match it

The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is the best Honeycomb tablet available, but the OS lacks the tablet-optimized apps to compete with the iPad.
Blazing fast. Great gaming. Cool keyboard dock.
Some bugs. Honeycomb lacks both apps and a good app store.
The Android interface also doesn't have a quick way to easily flip between several windows. You can say the same about iOS, of course. But I have the Prime next to my Windows 7 netbook right now, and I'm missing the fluidity of being able to have two...

Quad core tablet. The new Asus tablet with a keyboard dock is one
Newest mobile quad core chip; Very good screen; Elegant and robust aluminum case; Latest Android 4.0.3; Extended options thanks to keyboard dock
GPS only works sporadically; No 3G/UMTS; Only one speaker
First, the much less expensive predecessor, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v as an attractive tablet with the last Tegra 250 chip. Of course, the latest version of the genre founder, the iPad 2. And the Asus Eee Pad Slider as...

Summary: The Transformer Prime is the best marriage of screen and keyboard we've seen in a tablet. The quad-core Tegra 3 processor gives it professional-level performance, and battery life is excellent too.
Superb screen, Great battery life, Comes with a keyboard dock that adds a second battery, Supports USB and SD card expansion via the keyboard dock
Not available without keyboard dock, Tends to topple over if you tap the screen when it's docked to the keyboard, Short of business software, No integrated mobile broadband option

Asus Transformer Prime is a successor to the original Transformer tablet. It's thinner and the first Android device powered by NVidia's quad-core processor. In addition, it also comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, optional keyboard dock, 8-megapixel...
Verizon 4G LTE network is incredibly fast, 32GB microSD card included, Integrated kickstand works in portrait and landscape
Battery life is among the worst weve ever seen, No 4G LTE power toggle option, Kickstand in landscape orientation blocks microUSB port

This is by far the best Android tablet money can buy. It has almost everything going for it - excellent performance, premium finish, brilliant display, excellent battery life and a full fledged keyboard that converts this into a netbook (ummm, actually...
Very thin and light, Built very well, Quite powerful, Excellent battery life, Keyboard dock is infinitely useful
Not many apps still can use the quad-core CPU, Isn't very balanced with the keyboard hooked up

Apple's new iPad is turning heads, but it's not the only compelling choice. Four months after its introduction, Asus' Transformer Prime TF201 shows us that tablets aren't exclusively content consumption devices. Some make it easier to get work done!

The Asus Transformer Prime is a 10.1-inch Android-powered tablet with a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and 1GB RAM, plus at least 32GB of internal storage. Its default operating system is Android 3.2 Honeycomb but an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice...

When we first heard about the best name ever for a tablet PC, or possibly any component, we had visions of a robotic looking blue and red case… sadly, well kind of, this proved not to be and instead Asus released a sleek looking update to the original...
As ever we start off with the build quality of the Transformer Prime. Like the Transformer TF101 this device has been put together well and with great attention to detail. Our device has been subjected to some pain and even with a few dents there was...

Asus is probably the first manufacturer to out a quad-core tablet and also the first one to set the tone on netbook-cum-tablet form factor. Check out our full review of the Asus Transformer Prime TF201 after the jump.
