The remote control is a bit awkward, and the menu confuses even technophiles., Too cozy - VGA and YUV share the same input., Unnatural judder on Blu-ray films - 24p format is not accepted

Has Sharp produced the big screen TV bargain of the year?
Expert review by : TechRadar (techradar.com)
Sharp's latest LCD range just keeps getting bigger and better
Great price for such a large LCD ; Scintillatingly vibrant colours
No dedicated set of component connections
The quality king-sized screen market is no longer exclusively plasma

Another big hitter in the LCD corner
Plenty of HD bells and whistles ; Superbly clean and detailed picture
Black levels still not on plasma levels ; Some resolution loss on moving images
Deeper blacks are found on plasmas, but if your pockets are deep enough this is a truly spectacular example of LCD TV

Big, bold and its pictures are often really quite beautiful
Lack of noise ; Black levels are good
Picture loses contrast if watched from angles ; High price
A true 'statement' product that proves that no big-screen TV buyer should ignore LCDs

The pundits were right. The prices of high-definition televisions seem to be almost in free-fall at the moment, and at the top end of the market, that means a 1080p, 52-inch display such as Sharp's Aquos ...
On top form, the Aquos is capable of quite superb output, and while a few minor niggles do irritate, the end result is quite irresistible.

Sharp's XD1E range has been causing a stir with its combination of full-HD pixel count and surprisingly affordable prices. But can the largest member of the family, the 52in LC52XD1E, still retain its appeal in light of today's stiff competition?
Great colours, neat design, exceptionally sharp HD pictures
Slight motion issues, no dedicated component jack, slightly empty black levels, not cheap vs plasma

Superb High Definition pictures with good Standard Definition performance create a compelling package ..
The LC52XD1E is one of the finest HD performers currently available. SD performance is not so good (a reflection of the source rather than the display).
