It looks a bit like some nautical compass or grade school globe the way it's mounted on its base, and as a result of the novel mount, can be difficult to properly position. Tightening up the small screw in the base and taping down its USB cord helps a lot

Well i had this for over a year now and after the 1st week i started to get a bad feeling 1394 and usb r/w were very slow and later files began to get corrupted and all kinds of strange problems

The fan is worthless, it is loud and pushes no air at all, as a result the drive gets far too warm

Had to RMA a unit back, because disk would reset during a write using Norton Ghost.

Looks good, has an active cooling solution, the harddrive fit perfectly into it.

As in the other reviews, the LED wires must be switched.
