So should you buy the Trendnet TV-IP310PI ? IF you want a simple INDOOR/highly shielded from weather solution and only have $150: YES. The Trendnet TV-IP310PI has surprisingly good image quality given it is a fraction of the price of competing...
I chose to review this item much longer than I do other computer hardware because I have never owned a surveillance camera. I have always been interested in the DVR setups used by offices but didn't see myself shelling out $400-$1200 per camera after I...
Out of the box I found that there is no power adapter which was annoying given I DO HAVE PoE but it's an adapter which takes the outlet of the wall adapter and an ethernet input on one end, transmits the electricity over the 4 unused wires of the 8...

I have a pair of these replacing some older, other-branded cameras that had lower resolution, had no night-vision and lacked true PoE capabilities. Both are mounted outdoors under the eaves of my home so they're well protected from rain/snow/etc. These...
Image is above average (but not spectacular), uses standard PoE (802.11af) OR outboard DC power - depends on how you want it wired up, value for money is quite good. 3MP at this price?!
The 3MP image is narrower and taller than the other settings, particularly the 2MP (1080p) setting. Streaming that 3MP image means a reduction in framerate - about 20 fps max - where the 2MP image can stream at 30 fps. The onboard GUI for setup isn't...

CONS (CONTINUED) 6. Buggy Software. In particular, the WatchDog Program. I couldn't get this software to run properly no matter what I did (in case you're wondering I have Win 10 64bit). It crashed on me numerous times and forced me to re-boot the PC....
Just from looking at the photos of this unit on NewEgg's Website, this item looks much longer than it actually is (which is good) and I'll tell you that this unit is sturdily built and heavy. Like most items I've tested for TrendNet in the past this...
Ok, straight out of the box, this unit requires a PoE Capable Router to work. If your Router does not support PoE than you'll need an External Power Supply (which is NOT provided). The base for this unit is NOT Waterproof (at lease in my opinion). I...

Overall the TV-IP310PI will work well but you will have to work with it for awhile before you get where you want. The focal length is a problem (too short). It is unfortunate that they do not make a vari-focal model without adding other unnecessary...
The TV-IP310PI picture is clear and crisp provided that you have some light (at least a street light). It does seem to be weatherproof. It is an economical camera. I have both the TV-IP310PI and the TV-IP311PI (has glare issues), The image of the...
The TrendNet Pro software is gliche. Once you have it up and running it is ok however it is likely you will end up re-installing several times. The camera focal length is not adjustable and is too short. I recommend that you turn off the "watch dog"...

Really wish Trendnet would invest as much into its software as it does into its hardware. The price/performance ratio is excellent with these cameras assuming you can set it up and actually find a browser that can connect.
Excellent hardware. Good image quality for the price. Compact.
Where to start? 1. password length is arbitrarily short - no idea what it is but it's less than 20 characters (that i use on my other two Trendnet network cameras) and at least 8 which is what i got to work. To make this worse, the setup UI provides NO...

No zoom, you can't even see car plate of your neighbour from 20ft, no motion detection, no sound. Very poor softwear, server never working, I struggle every day to set up this camera on my computer. Very good commercial from Trendnet, because camera on...
