Microsoft Lumia 650 white

First things first, the 650 looks the business. From the anodized aluminium frame to the bright and crisp 5-inch OLED screen, the Lumia 650 has a more premium look than the flagship Lumia 950 .

The Lumia 650 has a great design and a price that can't be beat.

It's missing some key new Windows phone features, like Continuum and Windows Hello.

As budget phones go, the Lumia 650 ticks most of the right boxes, but with Microsoft's phone future looking dim, you may want to pass.

Microsoft Lumia 650 Review

Last November, Microsoft launched the Lumia 950 and 950 XL to debut Windows 10 on smartphones. With muscular spec sheets, the duo took aim at the higher-end price segment, leaving Windows 10 out of reach for budget-minded buyers. Six months later,...

Solid build ; Nice display ; Camera captures delightful detail

Windows 10 feels a bit rough around the edges ; Camera has poor automatic exposure and white balance settings ; Broken video recording

The Microsoft Lumia 650 provides a mostly adequate experience, making it a solid choice for an entry-level Windows 10 handset. It's nicely put together and handles well. The screen and speaker are of good quality and make for enjoyable multimedia.

Review: Microsoft Lumia 650 for Cricket Wireless

Microsoft's mid-range Lumia 650 is a more attractive option than Microsoft's other handsets and is quite affordable. This Windows 10 Mobile smartphone should appeal to budget-minded shoppers who prefer prepaid services and are already invested in the...

Cricket Wireless is selling the Lumia 650 for $120. That's a fair price for this handset. The phone is a step up from the Lumia 550 in terms of design and specs, and it delivers a bit more oomph. Even so, the 650 looks better than it feels and is far...

Microsoft Lumia 650 review: a budget device that punches well above its weight [Update]

The Microsoft Lumia 650 is a budget Lumia that punches well above its weight. Here's our review of Microsoft's latest iteration in the Lumia 6xx series, where we intend to prove just that.

Specs. I am so sick of that word. Since picking up the Lumia 650, I've published an unboxing and first impressions , second impressions , and three comparisons. When looking at the comments, it was as if no one had even read the words I had written....

Microsoft Lumia 650 review

The Microsoft Lumia 650 is an entry-level smartphone with a premium, ultraslim and lightweight design. It brings a lot to the table, including a superb OLED screen, a generous 16GB of memory (plus a microSD memory card slot), and the powerful built-in...

The Lumia 650 seems to mark a new direction for Microsoft - towards premium design, even at the budget end of the market. We very much welcome that move, and look forward to more of the same in the future.

Microsoft Lumia 650 review

Another enterprising offering from Microsoft

Great screen ; Good camera ; Low price

Missing Continuum ; Slow processor ; Lack of apps

With a great display, a nice design, good-enough battery life and a capable camera, the Lumia 650 makes a strong first impression. But a poor processor, lack of apps and buggy OS cause it to fall short of greatness.

Microsoft Lumia 650: Windows 10, quality build on a budget - Pocket-lint

Windows 10 is well and truly upon us and in case you didn't know Microsoft has made a big deal out of its Lumia phones. Plenty have arrived from the top

The build quality of the Lumia 650 is decent enough for the money and the screen, despite being 720p, does its job well. There's a heft to the handset that makes it feel strong, like it will last.

Microsoft Lumia 650

2015 was the year of the affordable smartphone. During that time, we saw the release of some of the best value-for-money handsets ever made. Highlights included the Moto G, OnePlus X and Vodafone Smart Ultra 6.

Microsoft Lumia 650 review

A budget Windows phone that looks anything but cheap

Fancy metal rims ; Super-high contrast OLED screen ; Clever camera processing ; Decent selfies

Slow camera processing ; Feels slow in use ; Not great general-use stamina

Ultra-poppy screen and fancy build bits make a good first impression, but it doesn’t feel fast enough.

Microsoft Lumia 650 review - great design, terrible chipset

Superb build quality and a fantastic OLED display are catastrophically hamstrung by the Lumia 650's terrible processor
