Sleek, Lightweight, and Inexpensive

My son purchased this product for my wife on Mothers day of this year. We have been using it for several months and so far we are very pleased with its performance. It was very easy to hook up, just two wires to plug into the back of your television. ...

Space saving and inexpensive

Nothing bad to say at this time

DVD/VCR works. Now...Show me the Divx!

Plays DVD & Videotapes. Progressive scan a plus. Front and rear AV jacks great.

Hmm? let me count the ways. 1)chicklet-style buttons. 2)cliff diving videotapes. 3)EVIL REMOTE!

DVD/VCR works. Now...Show me the Divx!

I watched a Clint Eastwood movie on the Phillips DVP620VR that describes my DVD/VCR unit perfectly: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. My Mustek DVD player was acting up and my wife was tired of dealing with its erratic behavior. So we went shopping ...

Philips combo VCR DVD

I've been looking for a replacement for a dead VCR. I want the ability to copy from DVD to VHS since I have home movies on DVD (sometimes we copy parts for grandparents without a DVD player). Surprisingly, a lot of combo units can't do this. This ...

Terrible

A pile of junk. After this, I will not go near another Philips brand of anything. It has been a very frustrating and disappointing exercise and am looking to replace with HDD/DVD recorder.

Looks nice!

Initial unit faulty and replaced. Then the remote control packed up outside warranty. No duplicate controls on dvd part of unit so could not play dvds if selection was needed. Could not change settings without remote or timer record. DVDs froze mid movie.

Bad

Not bad while it lasted and phillips warantee swapped it. But went for another brand.

Slim and looked good.

Stopped working after 9 months. Problems started with the unit freezing up and could not operate unless you turned the main power source off after 1 month. Remote a bit hard to navigate.
