This remote is very handy when you want steady camera pics. For example in the winter when your hands are cold which could make the camera shake a bit. Just put your camera on a tripod and insert the remote into the USB connection. Works great!

I love Canon and this is great if you want a free hand to manuever objects/sets, but cord is not long enough for much else.
