An easy-to-use, but sluggish, Blu-ray player
The LG BP530 isn't the speediest player on the block but it offers good playback and a large selection of apps.
The ; offers a fine selection of streaming services, built-in Wi-Fi, and decent disc playback. It also features subtle styling and a well-laid-out remote and is easy to use, despite some user interface clutter.
Netflix loads particularly slowly. The neat Private Listening feature only works with discs, not apps, and isn't reliable. And there are minor image quality issues for picky viewers.
The LG BP530 has built-in Wi-Fi and a good selection of apps, but there are just enough quirks to keep it from being a top Blu-ray player pick.

"Not Recommended!!"
Not recommended.:( I purchased this unit 1 week & 1 day ago to replace my older model LG BX580 (Which is only 2 years & 1 week old) because my old one got a DVD disc stuck inside & it will not read anything. This machine has done exactly the same...
When it does work good picture - never got to try 3D as after 1 week & 1 day machine doesn't work!

"Do not buy: not working even after exchange."
After exchange, some of the same problems exist. It is still skipping randomly. It stopped completely once. My expectations for today are more of the same problems.

Software is damaged, constantly drops you from the wireless router. Like the set-up and on screen menu. Bought two machines both had software problems, LG is aware of the problem.

Very easy setup ; Fast boot up time ; Beautiful picture ; Easy to setup wireless or using a wired lan
Wireless a little slow to connect sometimes, but this issue may be due to the ATT U-verse router and the fact that we have both the Blu-ray player and the wireless DirecTV genie sitting together

BASICALLY ONLY USEFUL AS A BLUE RAY PLAYER!!!But what do you expect for the price.YouTube is barley functional, the player keeps signing you out forcing you to go to the computer and entering a code, similar issues with NetFlix the player constantly...
