Nokia 7.1

The Nokia 7.1 offers a winning combination of great performance, killer looks, and up-to-date Android software for a reasonable price.

High-end design. Excellent performance for the price. Guaranteed software updates through Android One Program.

No wireless charging. Not waterproof.

Midrange smartphones are certainly less prevalent than high-end and budget models, but we'd like to see more phones like the Nokia 7.1. It does more than offer superior performance to the Xperia 10 and Moto G7—it's the only phone in the bunch that's...

Nokia 7.1 Smartphone Review

Nokia 7.ONE. HMD's Nokia 7.1 is based on Android One, and thus free of unnecessary apps, most commonly referred to as bloatware. The result is supposed to be a minimalistic and fast system, designed to run even more demanding apps. Find out in our...

security updates for at least 3 years ; no third-party apps ; solid performance ; appealing design

low on memory ; average battery life ; display suffered from severe blue tint

After putting the Nokia 7.1 through its paces we feel confident to say that it is a solid mid-range smartphone that excels primarily through its design. Connectivity is not its strong suit, and many a competitor can be had with better connectivity for...

Nokia 7.1 review: so much wasted potential

We had the opportunity to test out the new Nokia 7.1, a mid-range smartphone with an attractive price and design. So what compromises did HMD Global have to make with this device and just how annoying are they on a daily basis? We'll explain everything...

Successful design for a mid-range device ; HDR-compatible

Screen is too blue ; Android One with 2-month delay ; Disappointing performance that makes everyday use difficult ; Poor battery life

HMD is offering us a rather promising smartphone, which despite its obvious flaws, hasn't succeed in convincing us. Its design is pleasant, at least for its price range, and its camera and Android One are undoubtedly great assets, but these defects...

Nokia 7.1 Review: Solid Budget Simplicity

Earlier this year, Huawei passed Apple to become the second largest smartphone maker in the world. That marks a big shift in the handset power rankings, but there's one phone company that's arguably made even bigger strides, and unlike Huawei, it's a...

Nokia 7.1 Review: A New Budget Champion Has Arrived

The Nokia 7.1 raises the bar for budget phones in every sense. At $349, however, this handset may also raise the threshold for what can reasonably be considered a budget phone. Some might find it difficult to justify spending an extra $100 over the...

Stunning, solid design ; Android One software ; Great display ; Good cameras for the price ; Premium-caliber performance

Not available on Verizon or Sprint ; Battery life could be better

Nokia 7.1 review: Doesn't live up to expectations | Trusted Reviews

Nokia 7.1 review: There's plenty to like here with an HDR screen and a sharp overall design. However once again it's the performance that lets it down.

Smart, expensive-looking design ; Sharp screen with HDR optimisation ; Accessible handling

Compromised day-to-day performance ; Mediocre battery life

On paper, the Nokia 7.1 looks like one of the best phones at the price, but it's let down by poor battery life and general performance.

Nokia 7.1 review

A fine mid-range handset worthy of your consideration

Large, bright LCD display ; Camera stands up well ; Very competitively priced

Battery life isn't fantastic ; Occasional lag in apps ; Not for serious mobile gamers

With the Nokia 7.1, the brand continues its run of impressive mid-range phones carrying close-to-stock Android. While the phone has weaknesses, overall it offers better quality and features than you would expect at this price.
