HP Envy 15 review

There are laptops and then there are laptops. The Envy 15 has fallen into that second category ever since we got our hands-on: it's the first PC we've

Striking all metal design ; Powerful Core i7 processor, ATI graphics ; Awesome multimedia experience

Gets incredibly hot ; Less than two hours of battery life ; Insanely frustrating touchpad

HP Envy 15 review

One of the few consistent high-end Windows laptop lines, HP's Envy series has always impressed with its sharp design, high-end components, and (aside from the too-expensive very first models) reasonable prices. With this new revision, the Envy has...

The updated HP Envy 15 has premium design and performance for a decent price, plus swanky extras such as a backlit keyboard and physical volume control wheel.

Despite the big touch pad, multitouch gestures are still finicky, and the new look is so MacBook-like, it's like HP isn't even trying to pretend otherwise.

HP's Envy line has always been a reliable high-end PC laptop line, and this new redesign adds some useful features, such as a volume wheel, while keeping the upscale look and feel.

HP Envy 15

The Envy 15 is a hot-looking and hot-feeling Core i7 laptop, targeted at gamers and mobile performance enthusiasts.

Aluminum metals are a sight to behold. Lightweight. Dreamy parts like an Intel Core i7 processor and 6GB of memory. Excellent graphics card. Awesome resolution. Fast hard drive. Excellent audio system.

Heat can be felt throughout the laptop. No backlit keyboard option. Six-cell battery alone doesn't deliver enough juice. Expensive.

HP ENVY 15 Review

All the headlines these days seem to be grabbed by those svelte little Ultrabooks, but there's still a considerable market for big-screen, high-power laptops out there. HP is more than happy to serve, and their latest offerings in the top of the line...

Is the ENVY 15 as good as the 15-inch MacBook Pro? No. But considering that for the hardware that we tested you’d have to spend nearly $2000 on an Apple machine, it doesn’t have to be. If you find yourself spending most of your computer time within the...

Review HP Envy 15 Notebook

They are around us. With the new Envy notebook HP finally dares t ...

Attractive design ; Pleasant haptics of the high-quality materials ; Very stable case ; User-friendly keyboard ; Multi-gesture touchpad ; Good 3D and application performance ; Acceptable sound scape ; Supplement battery and external drive included

Limited connectivity ; All ports in the front area of the right side ; Low brightness of the screen ; Always audible fan, very loud under load ; Case surfaces are always warm ; Moderate battery life

Even if HP might not like this, we have to mention the Alu MacBook Pro's in the first place. Also the Dell Studio XPS 16 has a kind of premium touch, however in direct comparison it appears rather common

HP Envy 15 (1015TX)

HP's new Envy 15 packs high-powered components into a svelte 15-inch body. The result is an upscale status symbol that still shows a few first-generation rough edges.

Slim for a powerhouse 15-inch laptop, 1080p screen, Solid construction

No internal optical drive, Some Blu-ray playback issues, Very expensive

HP Envy 15-1050nr Laptop Review

We were delighted to have a gamming notebook in our test centers after a long string of slow notebooks and net books. This is a power full beast 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 720QM, 6GB, 1,066MHz DDR3, ATI Radeon HD 4830 have been brought together to give you a...

Solid construction, 1080p screen

No internal optical drive, expensive

Hp Envy 15 will give direct competition to Alienware m15x. While HP’s product scores in some departments when the two beasts go head to head, we predict that Alienware will still win in the end due to its haphazard shape(but down right sexy looks) and...

HP ENVY 15

Slim and light powerhouse gaming and desktop replacement notebook with great looks., Super performance, yet runs cool for its class. Fantastic looks, durable metal casing. Awesome gaming and HD video playback experience. Lovely HD display that's...

Speakers aren't very loud, no internal optical drive (external optical drive included)., Optical drive is external, display doesn't tilt back very far. Fewer ports compared to full sized desktop replacements (e.g.: no FireWire, no ExpressCard slot, no...

We can't help but be smitten with the HP Envy 15. It's a gaming powerhouse, a desktop replacement and more than powerful enough to keep us away from shopping notebooks for a few years. Yet it's gorgeous, very thin and light. Its unique looks and...

HP Envy 15

The Envy x360 is the more affordable counterpart to the HP Spectre x360 15”, and it has a similar design and a metal casing minus the fancier Spectre x360 high end finishes and design touches. The Envy goes up against the similarly priced 15” Dell...

HP Envy 15 notebook

The design of the HP Envy 15 is essentially the same as the Envy 13, majoring on solid construction from a magnesium alloy chassis and a multitouch button-less trackpad

Solidly built, good performance

Poor battery life

There is potential for high performance in this laptop with its interesting processor, but there's also enough niggles to make us cautious before making a recommendation. Given the high power demands of the CPU, this is still more of a desktop...
