DVD Express / Movie Maker 3SE - my experience

I have been looking for a product to allow me to create small video files I could e-mail to family and friends. Also, I have quite a number of home movies on VHS/8MM that I want to transcribe to DVD.

Good for capturing and simple to use. When working was very fast

Poor bundled software, particularly the Ulead Movie Maker

Great Product

This works very well. The quality is the same as the source tape. I use the capture wizard that came with the product, but use Nero 6 to edit and burn. After capturing and burning about 7 movies, I have nothing but good things to say about this equipment.

Inexpensive, works while using minimal CPU resources. Good capture quality

Can get quirky sometimes which requires unplugging the power for a few seconds

Hardware MPEG encoder, Ulead Movie Factory SW

Budget Hardware Encoder

This product is a great budget hardware MPEG1 and MPEG2 encoder. Usually hardware encoders are more expensive ($200USD+). this one was just in my price range; $99. The number one feature of this product is HARDWARE ENCODING, which means that the...

low price, uses minimal CPU because of the hardware encoding, portable, USB2.0, no
