Toshiba SD-370E Upscaling DVD Player

If you want to make the most of your DVD collection, you don't have to pay the earth.

Can this slimline player deliver a weighty performance?

Superb price ; Slim chassis ; Colour reproduction ; Excellent contrast

No WMA, JPEG viewer ; No 1080p upscaling

A typically top-notch Toshiba deck that offers decent pictures, attractive looks and one or two useful features, all for the same price as three DVDs

Toshiba SD-370E

Despite its wallet-friendly £60 price tag, this ultra slimline DVD player is actually Toshiba's top-end model. Its main claim to fame is its HDMI output, which offers upscaled 720p and1080i pictures designed to make the most of DVDs on an HD Ready display

Good performance, Excellent value for money

Pictures are good, not great

An all-rounder worth investigating. Just don't expect fireworks

LOOKS GREAT BUT POOR PERFORMANCE

Bought this DVD player knowing about the freezing issue but had decided to give it a try as the reviews I had read were well over a year old and I would have thought Toshiba would have solved the problem by now.
